English author Neil Mach explores feelings of énouement in his fifth book in the Moondog urban fantasy series, Moondog and the Tercet Plume.
What is this unique emotion or feeling?
What does the word mean? Have you ever experienced enouement?
What is enouement?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could tell your past self about the future, avoiding those errors & blunders you made along the way? That is énouement!
The word embodies that bittersweet sense of satisfaction that you get after a good outcome, though your feelings might be mixed with the memory of past anxieties.
The word portrays feelings of accomplishment that come with a successful ending, but your feelings will be infused with the echoes of past fears and perhaps a yearning to go back and tell a former self that everything will turn-out fine.
So, you might experience énouement when you wish, perhaps for a brief moment, that you could go back in time to allow you to tell a younger self everything will be alright, and, actually, there is nothing to worry about!
