NEIL MACH is working on a fictional novel that recounts the experiences of a group of land army women in Dormansland (near Lingfield, Surrey) during the final months of the Second World War, 1945.
He's now offering a slideshow talk titled : Surrey Farmland Girls - Triumph on the Land - a history of the Women's Land Army 1945.

As part of the writing process, the author has spent months collecting testimonies and recollections from former Surrey W.L.A. members.
Based on his research, the author has produced an interesting and instructive 30- to 45-minute slideshow presentation about Surrey's Land Army history and what it was like to serve on the land in the County of Surrey during the war years (and beyond).

Care facilities and community associations would benefit greatly from this slideshow presentation. The talk can last 30 or 40 minutes, depending on the needs and size of the audience. In order to promote conversation and aid in memory gathering, the author will bring along mementos and artefacts from the time period that can be shared among groups.
