On the Myth and Magic podcast last week I interviewed author B. Marcus Walker.

Brian is originally from the south side of Chicago, now based in Rhode Island, and he's a graduate of the New York University (BA English).

Brian has worked as an instructional designer, an eLearning designer, and as a project manager but he's recently completed his first full-length fantasy fiction, titled, Spirit of the Plain: The Unnamed.

Spirit of the Plain: The Unnamed is a fantasy about battles and magical discoveries that readers have described as a story of "action and intrigue".

In my interview with B. Marcus Walker for Myth and Magic, we discuss how a writer can allow his characters some degree of free-will, we talk about developing a convincing system of magic, and we consider how Brian's own lifetime experiences have helped him develop his themes.
